It is finally here summer time. Today is the first day of summer which means hot weather. Summer time a wonderful season for so many reasons.
Soon school holidays will be starting with long warm nights. I love summer for many reasons. For example going to the beach, celebrating Christmas, and having lazy days lying about under a huge tree.
Summer time for many families means catching up with each other and having parties. It’s the one time of the season where you truly enjoy drinking really cold drinks and not getting a brain freeze.
Also it’s the season to relax and soak up the hot, warm sunshine.

Dear BB,
I too am very glad that summer has finally arrived! I was lucky that I got to experience summer for a few weeks in June/July too (in the USA). That was a funny feeling.
Like you, I enjoy long warm nights and catching up with family over summer. The school holidays are always an excellent time to relax. Do you have any holiday plans?
Best wishes,
Mrs M☀rris

@ Mrs Morris,
Awesome comment and thank you for leaving a comment on my blog.
I would love to go to the US during summer and having been able to have two summers.
I love warm nights too. I love the big school holidays as you get to catch up with family and friends.
I am going to NSW during the holidays we go there every year. Are you and Nate planning a summer holiday?
If so where to.
Warm wishes,
BB.

Hi BB,
Yes, I do remember you travel to the same holiday spot every year. That will be nice.
Nate and I don’t actually have anything planned yet but we might end up deciding to go somewhere for a few days – who knows.
For the last two summers we have been on driving holidays. Last year we drove to Broken Hill and Adelaide, the summer before that we drove to Mt Gambier. Who knows where we’ll go next!
Best wishes,
Mrs M☀rris

@ Mrs Morris,
Awesome comment and thank you for leaving a comment on my blog.
That is nice you travel to many different places.
I hope you and Nate find a place to visit. Here is a suggestion maybe Maldon (where we went to camp) it has a lot of fascinating places to visit.
How many hours in total do you think you spend driving? I hope to hear from you.
From,
Bianca

Hi BB,
Maldon is an excellent suggestion. In fact, after I told Nate about Maldon after camp he said he’d love to visit!
We did a lot of driving last summer. Geelong to Broken Hill is about 10 hours. Then it took about 6 hours to Adelaide and 8 or 9 hours to get home again.
Driving isn’t too bad when you have some stops on the way. I also like to download audio books or podcasts onto my iPhone to play in the car. It helps pass the time.
What do you do in the car to pass the time?
Best wishes,
Mrs M☀rris

@ Mrs Morris,
I am so glad Nate said he would love to visit Maldon. I am so glad you liked my suggestion.
WOW it took 10 hours to get to Broken Hill. It takes 6 hours for us to drive to New South Wales.
I am so very excited about going to New South Wales. I love stopping because then you get fresh air and feel so much better.
Here is an app that is really interesting it’s called Wattpad you can read so many books. On my I pod Touch I download books for the long car trip.
How do I pass time interesting question. I read on my I pod touch and current book, Listen to music, Talk to my cousin, laugh, have a quick nap and look at the passing sights.

Hi BB,
This is a great idea for a blog post. I just introduced the 4 seasons with my First Graders last week and everyone chose their favorite season and gave a reason for their choice. It is hard for me to choose my favorite season as I enjoy them all.
Like you though, I love summer for warm summer nights. When I lived in San Diego near the Pacific Ocean it was great to take walks on the beach in summer- night or day. I love the ocean and swimming.
But I also love to ski and I am looking forward to doing some skiing soon. It snowed for the first time last week and it was really cold yesterday.
December will be a fun month for you – preparing for Christmas and your holidays.
Enjoy.
Your friend,
Mrs. Lynch

@ Mrs Lynch,
Awesome comment and thank you for writing on my blog.
Thank you for saying this is a great idea. I am so glad you taught your First Graders the seasons they must have had excellent reasons.
I am so glad you enjoy all the seasons.
Dad, Hack and I walk along the beach a lot. I enjoy swimming so much mum says that I am a fish.
I have never been to the snow sadly but we might be going next year I am very excited. YAY it finally snowed in Canada.
By the way it is Kayla’s (my cousin) Birthday today. She is so very happy.
December sure is a fun month for me. I AM SO very excited about CHRISTMAS.

Dear Bianca,
How nice that summer has finally arrived! It is my favorite season of all.
Like you, I enjoy being outside, especially at the beach. There is a cement boardwalk in Santa Monica, which is not too far from where I live. I enjoy rollerblading along the path. It’s great because I can get some good exercise, and the view of the ocean is magnificent!
Friday, December 21, will be the winter solstice for us, and that is when winter officially begins in the northern hemisphere. That means it is still fall here. As I look out my window, I see fog coming in and the weatherman said it is going to rain today. I don’t mind because I just woke up, I’m in my warm bed, and I have a hot cup of coffee to enjoy! Love it!
I’m sorry that I have not been very consistent with commenting this year. I have a split class, which means half of my students are second graders and the other half is third. It has been a huge challenge, and my blogging time has taken the backseat. Have you heard that expression before?
I always enjoy reading your posts!
Happy summer!
Your northern hemisphere friend,
Mrs. Y♥llis

I just loved how you did the little suns it sure was very creative. That is awesome summer is your favourite season of all.
Sometimes Dad and I go for a walk near a beach we usually go on the broad walk as you get a much better view. Here are some facts and pictures of the beach http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Beach_%28Victoria%29. It has a lot of pictures of the board walk and the ocean. On the broad walk my hat fell into the water so I am very careful on windy days. I hope you like the facts and pictures.
Are you excited about winter? On December the 21st we finish school and then I will be in Grade 5!
.
Today it was raining but I do not mind because it’s just like a shower but outside. When it is winter I have some hot chocolate YUM with marshmallows.
It does not matter you have not been writing on my blog. I have not heard of the expression Blogging time has taken the backseat. I am so glad you enjoy reading my posts.
Happy Fall,
BB.

Dear BB,
You are so lucky that summer has arrived and school is almost over. It is definitely my favorite time of year. I love warm weather and spending time at the beach. I usually take vacation from work during the summer because Miriam and Sarah are off of school. We have a fabulous time going to different places. I look forward to it all year long. Unfortunately, it is still half a year away for us. I can’t read all the interesting things you will be doing. I am sure I will get great ideas from your blog.
Do you live near beach?
Sincerely,
Victoria
