Well, the time has arrived and am heading back to school YAY! I will be heading back to school with many other children this Wednesday. I can’t believe it that these summer school holidays are over for they have gone so fast. Before going back to school I needed to get ready as there are many things you require to get for the first day of school. For example for me that meant buying a new pair of school shoes, school uniform, a new lunch box and stationery. I had to label all my books, pencils ready for the big day on Wednesday which I am happy to say I have already done this task.
This year I will be in Grade 5 SM and am looking forward to meeting my new teacher and class mates. I am no longer the little kid of the school as now I am more the older kid around the school which means I will be hoping to be setting a good example for the younger kids to follow.
These school holidays have been amazing. I have gone to the movies, visited special friends and cousins, had a number of sleep overs, spent wonderful long days with my nanna and pop on there farm. As well spent a wonderful week in N.S.W. But the best things of all is spending time swimming in my pool and tomorrow celebrating my mum’s birthday.
I know this year is going to be a wonderful year where I hope to learn and grow a as person and hopefully still continue to blog.

Hi BB,
I’m glad you had such a great holiday! Nate and I enjoyed our holidays as well. We had a great trip to Beechworth and Canberra. I know you’re going to enjoy going to Canberra next year (can you believe you’ll be in grade six next year?!)
I didn’t realise tomorrow is your mum’s birthday. I hope she has a wonderful day! Please wish her a happy birthday from me. I know you’ll spoil her before you go back to school.
You’ll have a great time in 5SM. Is that the old 2KM classroom?? Won’t that be funny!
Your former teacher,
Mrs Morris

I sure did wish mum a Happy Birthday from you and she said Thank you so much. Dad and I sure will spoil mum before I go back to school. 5SM sure is the old 2KM classroom I was so happy when I realized I was in the old 2KM classroom. Mrs Morris if you need help and want some helpers with blogging I am glad to help if that is alright with you.

Hi BB,
It will feel strange being back in the old 2KM class but you are lucky. I did enjoy working in that classroom!
Thank you so much for the offer to help out our new bloggers! I will definitely keep that in mind.
It sounds like your mum is having a great day and got some lovely presents. Enjoy your day together!
Best wishes,
Mrs Morris

Dear BB,
First of all, I love your new header. I am a fan of Toy Story.
This is a great post on how to get ready for the first day back to school. Sounds like you are ready. It is an exciting time for you to start a new year and get back to seeing your good friends. Being a good role model for younger kids is very important and I am sure you are.
Here in Canada, kids (or parents) have to label all materials, too. A new lunch box, and new shoes are also popular items.
Happy Birthday to your Mum and wishing you the best in your new school year.
Your friend,
Mrs. Lynch

Dear BB,
You must be really excited to going back to school. I am also in 5th grade, however we started school in August. Are you nervous about going back to school? I am sure you will be a wonderful example for the younger students.
What I am looking forward to is the warm summer weather as well as finishing fifth grade and going on vacation. We will be done with school in a few months. I am also looking forward to sixth grade which is at a new middle school for me. How many grades are there in your school? Do you have a middle school nearby?
Sincerely,
Miriam

I sure am excited to go back to school. I am a bit nervous going back to school. Thank you so much for saying I will be a wonderful example for younger students. You sure would be looking forward to the warm summer in July. I wish I could come on holiday with you. Grade 6 is in middle school that is cool. We have 7 years of primary school and then go to High School. No Australia does not have middle school we have High School.

Dear BB,
I am really glad to read that you had a wonderful and relaxing vacation. I am also excited for you to start grade 5. In the US, fifth grade is a special year because it is the last year of elementary school. The fifth grade students are the oldest kids on the playground and get special treatment. They also have many special trips planned for the year and a graduation at the end of the year.
Is fifth grade special in Australia?
I hope you will write about your first day of school and how it went. What subjects will you be studying in school?
Good luck!
Victoria

@ Victoria,
Awesome and thank you for leaving a comment on my blog.
I am glad that you are glad that I had a wonderful holiday. That is nice of you to be excited that I am starting Grade 5. I did not know Grade 5 was the last year at Elementary School. The Grade 6′s are the oldest kids in the school and like the Grade 5′s in Elementary school the Grade 6′s do get special treatment. The Grade 6′s get to go to Canberra Capital city of Australia. They get to do lots of things especially going in groups as it would be their last year together. Grade 6 is special in Australia also Year 12 because it’s their last year. I sure will write about my first of school. Well I will be studying space and lots more things in Grade 5.

BB.

Dear BB,
You changed your header! New year of blogging = new header!
I hope you had a fabulous first day of school. Please also wish your mom a Happy Birthday for me. It sounds like it was a great day!
Did you hear the screams across the ocean? My favorite book The One and Only Ivan won the Newbery award this morning! That is the bewt award that an author can win for children’s literature in the US.
YOU have a signed copy of a Newbery winner! Is that cool or what?
I look forward to reading more about your new school year.
Keep reading and hugs to Hack. How is Pete? I shared with his book publisher that he is on a visit with you in Australia!
